The Surya Story
Surya started in 1976 as a small supplier of hand-knotted area rugs led by a North Indian craftsman named Surya Tiwari. After a decade of business, he expanded Surya’s operations into the U.S. in order to establish a closer relationship with Surya’s customers. Nowadays, the Surya brand encompasses much more than area rugs – but they remain dedicated to the quality of the rugs that started it all.
Today, Surya continues to innovate and partner with some of the most talented home fashion designers in the industry. Their list of collaborators includes names like celebrity designer Candice Olson, as well has noteworthy design brands like Sunbrella and ELLE DÉCOR.
